"As we drove forward, cresting the ridge, we turned to see a shroud of dust, stained blood red by the setting sun. Enveloping everything in its path, it left only the eerie ghost-like image of a herdsman with his livestock as they slowly dematerialized, swallowed whole by the unsettled earth. Above, the ominous clouds stretched out towards the mountain that birthed them. They glowed as if on fire." - Amboseli, July 12th, 1999
