13 days- Highlights of Kenya, Including:

Day 1
Early morning /afternoon arrival in Nairobi, where your Sopon Safari tour manager will meet and escort you to the Nairobi Serena Hotel morning at leisure. Noon Safari briefing by your tour manager followed by an afternoon sightseeing tour of Nairobi, including visits to the National Museum, and the colourful City Market.

Day 2+3+4
Morning departure for the Samburu Game Reserve lunch at the Samburu Serena Lodge, built on the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River. Three days of game viewing in the Samburu home to the rare and unusual reticulated giraffe, the long necked gerenuk, the Grevy’s Zebra and Beisa oryx.

Day 5+6
Drive South to the Serena SweetWater Camp. Lunch and afternoon game viewing one and half days of game viewing. Serena SweetWater Tented Camp lies in the heart of the 24,000 acre SweetWaters Game Reserve. It has magnificent views across the plains to the snow-caped peaks of Mount Kenya. The luxurious thatched-roofed tents overlook a large waterhole, which is floodlit by night, providing a haven for thirsty wildlife. The waterhole offers excellent and secluded game viewing, rarely available elsewhere.

Day 7
Continue this morning to Lake Nakuru the world famous Flamingo Sanctuary, and home to the rare and endangered Rothschild giraffe and black/ white Rhinos. Lunch and afternoon game and bird viewing around the Lake Nakuru, before proceeding to Serena Deramere Camp, for overnight.

Day 8,9,10,11
Early departure from Serena Deramere Camp driving along the floor of the Great Rift Valley, before entering the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Immediately you are aware of the teeming wildlife in the Masai Mara as your game viewing drive takes you to Keekorok lodge for lunch. At 3.30pm afternoon game viewing drive which takes you to the Mara Serena Lodge, built on the summit of a hill and overlooking the vast grassland of the Serengeti plains. Dinner and overnight, Mara Serena Lodge.   (B,L,D)

Enjoy three days of game viewing in the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Vast herds of wildebeest and Zebra Wander across the Mara grasslands, their numbers increasing during the annual migration from the Serengeti. Lion, Leopard and Cheetah can be found at close quarters, while hippo congregate in the Mara River.

Day 12
Morning return to Nairobi, arriving at the Nairobi Serena Hotel. Afternoon visit to the Karen Blixen Museum, and Rothschild-Giraffe Centre where you can feed these magnificient animals. Farewell dinner this evening at “The Carnivore Restaurant, where a feast of barbecued meats, camel, ostrich, crocodile, Poultry and fish are served at your table.

Morning transfer to Nairobi airport for your flight home.
